With more than 20,000 herons and egrets inhabiting the lush green bird sanctuary of the City of Tacurong, enthusiasts will surely be treated to an exciting bird watching experience.
Binoculars are not a necessity, but visitors are advised to wear kudong or hats to avoid catching bird droppings while passing
below great kakawate trees sprawling in the one-hectare sanctuary.

Get to participate in the Tacurong City Bird Festival (May), the first and only bird watching festival in South Central Mindanao attended by different bird watchers around the world.
Tacurong City Bird Festival is the third local bird festival that sprung from the Philippine Bird Festival of the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines or WBCP.
The City’s 1st Bird Festival was conducted on May 9-10, 2015. The Festival will be an annual event that will highlight the protection of birds and conservation of
the environment. The bird festival featured various activities such as forums on Philippine Birds, eco-tourism, and biodiversity conservation; photo exhibit; photo blogging contest; bird watching; face painting; origami; and wooden bird painting.
